Problems cannot be solved with the same mindset that created them.

Connected Thinking

When we bring the power of our right brain, that which interprets experiences and connection - intuition, into the work of the left, that of analytical, linear thinking and solving…

that’s when we unlock our true potential.

I apply concepts of collaborative behavioral systems. Through shared intentionality, we can come into purposeful collaboration - creating a shared vision of the desired outcomes and working as a team to accomplish them.

And I believe failure is just proof that you’re trying, and that we should should be mindful to celebrate our successes and milestones.

Below are two I celebrate.

A transformation of the way we experience healthcare

Interoperability is a regulatory push by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) that aims to alter the way the healthcare industry shares data by moving from a system whereby healthcare organizations are permitted to share data in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and towards one where healthcare organizations must share relevant information with each other and consumers can better dictate who has their health information and how it is used.

Digital First

As a leader in our cross-functional Interoperability team, I have been developing and deploying thought leadership and accelerators to help the Firm and our clients respond to the growing list of requirements, and the impacts they will have on the industry. I have worked closely with the Proposal Center of Excellence to build over two dozen microsites (PwC access only) , a FAQ Chatbot, and a Rapid Assessment for Payers available on PwC.com., in addition to an assessment framework and roadmapping dashboard that allows us to flex and respond to client needs and requests with more agility.

Making a difference in the Opioid Epidemic

The journey in controlling provider prescribing practices and patient drug utilization might be long and difficult, but the first steps must be taken. The opioid epidemic is a multifaceted, highly complex crisis, and healthcare providers must take advantage of one of their greatest resources—their data—in helping to extinguish the problem.

In applying that data, I helped a large regional health system at the epicenter of the epidemic, take meaningful steps towards a solution. Using the analytics based monitoring solution I developed with them, they were able to reduce high risk co-prescribing by over 35% in just a few months. #PwCProud

The question is not whether our ideas are crazy, but whether they are crazy enough.
